The committee takes as its charge, "Acting for Peace and Justice through Church and Society Work".  Their responsibility is to help our church members respond to pressing social issues.

Some of the social justice and peace issues for which this committee is responsible via newsletter articles, bulletin inserts, study groups and/or speakers include:

  • AIDS Awareness
  • Amnesty International
  • Anti-Gambling
  • Drug and Alcohol Awareness
  • Elder, child or spousal abuse
  • Environmental issues
  • Gun Control

To serve in advisory capacity to all missions sponsored by the church, and coordinate all mission work, between the church, the missions, and the Mission Committee.

  1. Serve as liaison between the church, the missions, and the Mission Committee.
  2. Promote mission activities and missions education in the church program.
  3. Plan and present an annual budget in consultation with Mission Committee members, and present to the Finance Committee.
