We are a small congregation dedicated to the mission and
ministry of Jesus and John Wesley to preach Good News to the poor.
This comes from Luke 4:16-19 where Jesus describes the mission of his own
life as he understood it.
Our Mission Statement
In our day, we believe this means we are called to proclaim Jesus'
Kingdom of God vision of love and justice to all persons regardless of
race, ethnic group, nationality, gender, sexual/affectional orientation,
gender identity, age, physical abilities/qualities, social/economic
situation, religious background or political beliefs.
What is the Reconciling
Ministries Network?
Reconciling Congregations are United Methodist
churches that publicly welcome all persons, regardless of sexual
orientation, to participate fully in the life of their community. For
millions of lesbian and gay persons and their families and friends, the
Reconciling Congregation Program offers openness and justice in a Church
that has too often turned them away or demanded their silence. For the
Church, the Reconciling Congregation Program practices faithfulness to
God's call to be in ministry with all persons.
